                  Major

By choosing this major in Exercise Science or Kinesiology, I have the chance to learn more about how the body system functions, the importance of health & wellness, and overall knowledge on how the muscles, bones, and joints are supposed to operate or move. Before I chose my major in Exercise Science, I wanted to do something that would benefit myself, but also for others as well. In our American society, it is very hard to maintain a healthy lifestyle and because of its effect on in our country with people suffering from an increased risk in obesity, diabetes, hypertension (increased blood pressure), heart diseases, and many other health problems. I would be an honor to be among those individuals that are changing and combating all of these epidemics plaguing our society.

        Career Goals

After I finish attending undergraduate school, my goal is to become a cardiac rehab specialist and try to apply at an outpatient practice. Then later on once I have achieved a better understanding on how much free time I have on my hands, I might also work as a personal trainer on the side. Doing both of these jobs will help me impact a lot more lives than if I originally went to become a sports physical therapist. Both the primary secondary careers will also help me be an advocate part in all of my patients and hope that what I teach them, they could also give tips to their friends, family, or whoever else they want. I want to give those athletes that I treat the best care I can bestow on them, so they can continue to do what they love and are passionate about.
